What to do with a CV? Upload it to the databases. The employment statistics show us that far more candidates are getting hired by uploading the CV to the online databases than just applying for the jobs on the jobs sites and sending it to the employers. Uploading your CV to the online CV databases assures you will be found when the recruiters will need you (not when you need a job – and send the m the CV out of a blue!). Sending a speculative CV to an Employer creates work on their end. Storing it in the CV database makes your CV available when they will have a need for it. So be there – be found.
There are classic Irish Jobs Sites you can upload your CV to or if you are looking for a project Work – there is an Irish site Flexitimers.
Get your CV in the right CV databases to be found when the employers will need new staff member with your skills. Be found when the right time comes!

I have posted quite a few articles on your CV and how to excel at interview. But what about those of you who don’t know what you want to do. There are many employees in Ireland in the wrong job but feel lost as they don’t know what to do next.
There is no point writing a CV or preparing for interviews. You must sit back and analyse the situation. Try to understand yourself providing clarity and career direction.
If you find this difficult to do you can access career assessment tests to support this self discovery. There are tools like personality questionnaires, ability tests and interest inventories. Many organisations use these too to see if you are the right person for their company so why don’t you use these tool to see if you are right for a particular career or job.
To support you through this process there are many career coaching services in Ireland.
