“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there” – Lewis Carroll

It is important to have a clear goal when job hunting. A lack of focus or direction may result in ending up in the wrong job BUT it will also be picked up by recruiters and employers and may go against you in the recruitment process.

It is important to clearly define what it is you want answering some of the following questions
What role/roles do you want?
What geographic location will you consider?
What industry are you targeting?
What size of company – Multinational or SME?
What salary/ package do you require?

By answering these questions at this early stage it can help you focus your efforts and those of any 3rd party representing you helping you get the job and conditions you want. But most importantly when it comes to selling yourself at interview you will be able to get your message across clear.
